Donna Karan Signature four pocket blazer
This jacket was made by Donna Karan Signature. It was made in Italy of 100% Rayon. It has a nice heavy drape to the fabric, but a feel similar to raw silk. It has a 1920s influenced cut, with wide lapels and double, flapped patch breast pockets.
Chest: 22″ (doubled = 44″ = size 40)

Lee Leeston Fedora Hat
This vintage fedora was made in the late 1930s or early 1940s by Lee as part of their Leeston line. It is a lightweight, unlined fur felt, with broad brim binding and a black ribbon. The hat is creased in a teardrop crown. Inside, there is an unreeded sweatband, which, as is typical for that type of sweatband of this era, has dropped many stitches. Please see the photos. The sweatband leather is stiff. It was sold by Burt-Easter Haberdashery which had locations on Pennsylvania Avenue and on H. Street in Washington DC. There is light staining and wear to the felt, staining to the brim binding, and a moth track on the bottom of the brim.

1930s “Guardsman” Overcoat
This vintage overcoat was made in the late 1930s and was sold by Colwell Brothers in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Colwell Brothers was (and still is) Halifax’s premier men’s store. They were extremely high end, and I have handled a lot of merchandise that they sold over the years. It is all absolutely the best of the best, and they favored more traditional, English styles. This overcoat has a 1936 union tag, which places its date of manufacture between 1936 and 1939. It has a six button front. All buttonholes are functional, but the lapels are rolled to the second button, something which was a style of the time. As this is a more conservative style, it has a plain back instead of the fancy belted backs you would see on younger mens styles. It is fully satin lined. The coat is in excellent condition.

Elasti-Glass
It looks like these clear vinyl products started being marketed in 1939. They made Elasti-Glass belts, suspenders, sock garters, neckties, watch straps, wallet inserts, pipe humidors, raincoats, and rain chaps.
G.A. Dunn green fedora
This one is long since sold, but is an unusual example. You don’t see too many green felts, to begin with. This one has delicate ventilation holes, a light colored sweatband, and a fancy bow. It appears that at some point the hat was reversed, maybe to even out wear so as to avoid a hole at the pinch? The model is “The Polo”.
1930s “Wear Well Clothes” Overcoat

This vintage overcoat was made in the 1930s by “Wear Well Clothes” It is a classic double breasted style, with sharp peak lapels, and a 4×6 buttoning. It has a pleated and belted back, and a nicely tailored nipped waist. Functional breast pocket. It is half lined. The coat is in very condition- a bit of fraying to the label, and some light overall wear. It is a heavy navy blue wool. The 44″ chest means it should fit a 36, 38 or 40, depending on the layering underneath.

Granite Cloth 1940s Single Breasted Peak Lapel Suit jacket

This vintage suit jacket was made in the 1940s. It has wide peak lapels and a two button front. At some point, a third button was added, which does not match. There is significant fraying to the hem, wear to the cuffs, and repairwork to the lining.

1930s Alpaca Overcoat J.C. Penney Co.

This vintage overcoat was made for the J.C. Penney Co. in the 1930s. It is an elegant double breasted style, with a six button front. The lapels are razor sharp, and sport keyhole buttonholes. The coat has flapped patch pockets and a belted back. It is half lined. If worn without a jacket, this coat would measure a 42, if worn with, it is in the 38-40 territory. Despite being in the territory of 80 years old, the coat is in very good shape. The fabric has the distinctive nap of an alpaca wool blend, extremely popular on nicer overcoats of the day.
