Famous D-Pocket motorcycle jacket

This vintage jacket was made in Canada by “Famous”. It is strongly reminiscent of the also Canadian-produced Brimaco D-Pocket motorcycle jacket, which was in turn inspired by the Design of Harley Davidson’s “Cycle Champ” D-Pocket. So although this one was produced in the 1960s, the design and detailing go back to the 1940s. The jacket has a map pocket with sub cigarette pocket, mirrored by a larger patch pocket on the other side of the asymmetrical zipper. The jacket has zipped cuffs with 1930s-1940s style cuff detailing. It has a plaid lining, and a Canadian produced (left tracked) Acme zipper.

1970s Fit-U beltback suit jacket

This vintage jacket was made in the 1970s by Fit-U Clothes for Gordons Isnor Limited, which had locations in Halifax and Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada. The jacket has a belted back, scalloped pocket flaps, with the one on the chest serving a purely decorative purpose. The jacket is half-lined.

This vintage workwear jacket was made by Rubin Bros. It is made of gray wool, has a serged round collar and a snap front. There is an inside pocket.

This vintage coat was made by the Hudson’s Bay Company from their iconic multi-stripe point blankets. The coat is double breasted, with a pleated vent and handwarmer pockets.

1970s Women’s Hudson’s Bay Company point blanket coat no. 1

This vintage coat was made by the Hudson’s Bay Company from their iconic multi-stripe point blankets. The coat is double breasted, with a pleated vent and handwarmer pockets. The inside of the coat is stained. While the front of the coat is missing two of its distinctive buttons, there is an extra inside, and one underneath the collar, so that could be easily remedied.

This vintage jacket was made by Kingsridge and was sold in Columbus, Georgia by Tillman’s, It is made of tweed, with a belted back, and scalloped pleated pockets.

Scotts Gray Ltd. beltback pleated jacket

This vintage jacket was made in Yugoslavia in the late 1970s and was sold by Scotts Gray Ltd. It is made in a 1920s belt-back style, with double patch breast pockets, high button stance, triple pleated pockets, fancy pleated back and belted back. The jacket is made in a flecked corduroy similar to what was sold in the 1920s-1930s as Tweederoy.

1970s Ibex East West six pocket leather hippie jacket

This vintage jacket was made in England in the 1970s by Ibex of England – “Elegance in Leather”. It is made of what feels like lightweight deer, in a six pocket pattern made famous by East West Leathers. Aero Leathers made a version as the “Hippie Jacket” and Levis made one as the “Scorched Up” jacket. This is a real deal ’70s original. It has a six pocket front. The top two are open, the bottom four are pleated and flapped, and the bottom two have buckled belts assuring a secure closure. The back has side adjusters, and the sleeves have motorcycle jacket style zippers. Zippers are all English Clix brand. The jacket has a western style back yoke as well as pleats. The sleeve zippers have distinctive u shaped surrounds. The jacket is tagged a size 40.

Blue Chimayo vest

This vintage vest was made in New Mexico from Chimayo indian blanket / rug fabric. It was tailored and sold by Pioneer wear. the vest has a denim back with a western style yoke and is fully lined. There are stitch marks from what appears to have been a larger label behind the Pioneer Wear one,. Unlike many of these square bottomed Chimayo vests, this one has buttonholes instead of loops.
