1950s Zero King hudson’s bay point blanket jacket

This vintage jacket was made in the 1950s by Zero King Sports Apparel. It is tailored from a red and black point blanket, possibly Hudson’s Bay, but there are no mill tags on it. The jacket is single breasted, with a zipper front. The original zipper has been replaced with a vinyl YKK, which works well. The jacket has caped shoulders, similar to earlier Carss mackinaw detailing. It is partially lined.

1940s tweed sportcoat

This vintage tweed jacket was made in the 1940s. It is made of an oatmeal and brown striped tweed, similar in pattern to what was used on Fender tweed amps. It is single breasted, with three leather knot buttons, no vent, and patch pockets. The jacket is half lined and has no tags. The leather buttons may be replacements, as there is a bag with smaller matching leather cuff buttons in the pocket which have not been sewn on.

Rubin Brothers wool workwear jacket

This vintage workwear jacket was made by Rubin Bros. It is made of gray wool, has a serged round collar and a snap front. There is an inside pocket.

Ralph Lauren reproduction 1920s hunting jacket

This hunting jacket was made by Ralph Lauren as part of their now defunct Polo Sportsman line. It is made of brown canvas and is sort of a greatest hits version of 1910s-1930s hunting jackets, drawing mainly from the detailing of Red Head and Duxbak designs. It has a front entry half-moon style game pouch, double breast pocket and double round cargo pockets. The shoulders are reinforced and there is corduroy on the collar and inside the cuffs. The sleeves have double ventilated armpit gussets, the collar has a buttoned throat latch, and the cuffs have a distinctive button closure, which, unlike the rest of the detailing of the coat, I do not recognize.

1950s red wool American Field hunting jacket

This vintage hunting jacket was made in the 1950s in Toledo, Ohio by the Hettrick Manufacturing Company under their American Field Sportswear label. The jacket is made from red wool, with handwarmer pockets and buttoned, flapped cargo pockets. It has access to an internal game pocket through buttoned slits on the side seams. The coat has a cotton flannel lining and viscose rayon sleeve linings.

1950s Sprung Clindinin fringed deerskin leather jacket

This vintage leather jacket was made in the 1950s in Calgary, Alberta, Canada by Sprung Clindinin Ltd. It is made of deerskin suede with a Lightning zipper front (pull on the left tape as is the Canadian standard), half-belt back and fringe running the sleeve and yoke seams. It has side adjuster buckles.

King-O-Wear workwear jacket

This vintage work jacket was made by King-O-Wear. It is a waist length style, made in black wool, with buckle adjuster sides, handwarmer pockets, a zipper front and grommet reinforcements for a badge. This style goes back to the 1930s, but this example was likely produced in the 1960s. As is consistent with earlier production examples of this style, the jacket is unlined. The 1949 union label and the Talon zipper on this helps to date this one. While the pull on the zipper goes back to the 1930s on luggage, its usage on jackets did not start until later. The stop-box is of the type which started use in the late 1950s. The union label is a half-scale variant which I have only seen used by King-O-Wear.

1950s Land-N-Lakes peak lapel western jacket

This vintage western jacket was made in the late 1950s by the Herman K. Lavin Company of St. Paul, Minnesota under the Land-N-Lakes label. The jacket is made from a blend of Wool, Nylon and Cashmere in an attractive muted plaid. The jacket has peak lapels, and fancy western yokes front and back. It has bi-swing shoulders and saddelbag pockets.

Reproduction 1940s style belted leather jacket

This leather jacket was made in the 1980s or so in the style of a 1940s fully belted leather surcoat. The belt buttons on and off like the originals (though most of them have lost their front sections). It has a zipper front (nylon ykk) and a bi-swing back.

1920s Drybak hunting jacket

This vintage jacket was made by the Drybak company of Binghamton, New York in the 1920s. It is made of canvas with a corduroy collar and cuff linings. The jacket has reinforced shoulders, a half-moon style front entry game pouch access with scalloped reinforcement stitching, a large flapped breast pocket, and handwarmer pockets which form the pocket flaps for large cargo pockets and shotgun shell pockets. It has combination sleeve panel / ventilated underarm gussets which are unique to Drybak, as well as a flip up ear warmer panel. The buttons are branded Drybak or Money Back and the jacket bears the early style red white and black Drybak tag.
