This vintage jacket was made in the USA by Lariat from suede leather. It is fringed, laced and beaded with a three button front and handwarmer pockets.

1950s Sprung Clindinin fringed deerskin leather jacket

This vintage leather jacket was made in the 1950s in Calgary, Alberta, Canada by Sprung Clindinin Ltd. It is made of deerskin suede with a Lightning zipper front (pull on the left tape as is the Canadian standard), half-belt back and fringe running the sleeve and yoke seams. It has side adjuster buckles.

1930s fringed deerskin leather cossack jacket

This vintage leather jacket was made in Mexico. This waist length, button front, leather waistbanded style with triangular side panels, patch pockets and side adjuster belts was popular in the early 1930s. This was the original cossack style jacket before the half-belt back models took over. As was typical of many early leather jackets, this one is unlined. It is marked a size 36 in pen but measures smaller, probably originally worn by a teen.

1950s fringed deerskin jacket

This vintage leather jacket was made in the 1950s, likely by one of the many Wisconsin deerskin leather tanneries / jacket makers. It is made of russet colored deerskin, in a western utility jacket cut with fringed front and rear yokes. It has elasticized sides, a ’50s update from the older side buckle adjusters. It has button cuffs and handwarmer pockets. The jacket does up with a Conmar zipper of the design used in the 1950s.

Mid-Western Sport Togs deerskin jacket

This vintage jacket was made by Mid-Western Sport Togs, of Berlin, Wisconsin, probably in the early 1960s. It is a western style, with a fringed hem, sleeves and yoke. The jacket is made of deerskin. At some point, the original buttons were changed out for the current metal eagle buttons.
