Warner Bros. western shirt

http://www.ebay.com/itm/401060611786

I bought this as part of a lot of clothes used by Warner Brothers in western movies.  It’s a bit of a mystery, and doesn’t bear any of the Western Costume tags or Warner Brothers labels that the others did. The shirt has a pullover cut, large collar and gathered sleeves.  It has unusually wide shoulders.
Pit to pit: 28″
Shoulder to shoulder: 28″
Sleeve (shoulder to cuff): 22″
Length (base of collar to hem): 32″

1910s-1920s pullover workshirt

http://www.ebay.com/itm/281614480484
This vintage shirt was made in the late 1910s- mid 1920s. It is made of red wool, in a pullover style, with a convertible collar and buttoned breast pockets. This style of convertible collar, designed to be worn either buttoned up, or worn spread for a look similar to the lumberjack jackets of the time, was briefly popular on workshirts in this time frame. The shirt has a bold reinforcement panel, stitched so that it doubles as a small third pocket.

Chest (pit to pit): 24″ (doubled = 48″)
Shoulder to shoulder: 20″
Sleeve (shoulder to cuff): 23″
Length (base of collar to hem): 27-1/2″

1960s rockabilly blanket shirt jacket

http://www.ebay.com/itm/271349058704
This vintage shirt jacket was probably made in the 1960s. The influence of Hudson’s Bay point blanket coats is clear, with the classic red color scheme with black stripe. The cut is taken from a pullover shirt style of the 1950s, with two buttons at the neck. This one was probably made from a pattern for such a shirt, but made of striped material. It’s not wool, some kind of fleecy synthetic, but with its napped surface, it looks the part.

Chest (pit to pit): 27″
Shoulder to shoulder: 20″
Sleeve (shoulder to cuff): 24″
Length: 28″
