This vintage bold look overcoat was made in the 1940s. It has a blue gabardine shell and a button on belt. The coat has a shearling collar and an alpaca lining. The wide shoulders are heavily padded. It was sold by St. Clair Page of Marshfield, WI. Cravenette processed.

Tweed Hollywood Jacket

This one may not have the immediate flash and bang of the two tone variety, but it’s wild in its own right. The cut, those pocket details, and oh that fabric. This vintage tweed hollywood jacket has some really killer detailing. It has four patch pockets, all are pleated. The larger, lower set are flapped. The jacket is rolled to the third button, but has five, all evenly spaced. The buttons are leather knot / football type, but could probably stand to be replaced. The top button is missing, the third is in the pocket, as is one of the sleeve buttons. The jacket is fully lined, but I can not locate any labels. It has classically ’40s wide padded shoulders. The flecky tweed is heavy and soft- comfortably casual

Ponderosa Shirt Jacket

This vintage western shirt jacket is labeled simply “ponderosa”. It is a heavy burgundy colored wool, with a lace up front. The shoulders are lined. Chest (pit to pit): 22″Shoulder to shoulder: 18″Sleeve (shoulder to cuff): 23″

British Breeches

These vintage riding breeches are British army issue. They are wool with chamois patches on the inside thighs. Button fly, exterior suspender buttons, and a thigh pocket. No rear pockets. Broad arrow stamp inside. They measure 7″ across (14″ diameter) at the knee. They don’t look as though they saw much use, but have some moth damage from storage. They are size 32×27

These Hanes Fig leaf combination union suits were advertised in the early 1940s, but the design doesn’t seem to have lasted very long. This one is deadstock, and is a size 38 (measured by chest measurement, like an undershirt).

Lee Leisure blue fedora

This vintage fedora was made by Lee in the late 1940s or early 1950s. It is a lightweight blue felt, with spiral stitching. It has a casual hatband, and an overwelt brim edge. It is creased with a teardrop crown. The hat is unlined with sporting scenes printed in the crown. It was originally sold by the JL Hudson Co of Detroit, MI. Size: 7Brim Width: 2-1/2″

Canadian Cycle Champ D-Pocket leather jacket

This vintage leather jacket is a “Wind Cheater” made by the British Mfg. Co. of Montreal, Canada. At other points in the company’s life, they were known as Brimaco and as British Cycle Leathers. This jacket was made in the 1960s, and is a copy of the famous Harley Davidson Cycle Champ leather jacket’s design. It has a large D-Pocket, with smaller cigarette pockets on either side of the jacket. There are studs on the epaulettes and at points of stress on the pockets. It has a front belt and zip cuffs. The jacket has Canadian made “Acme” zippers. It is fully lined in tartan wool. Snaps are all “United Carr” brand. Chest: 23-1/2″Shoulder to Shoulder: 19″Sleeve (shoulder to cuff): 23-1/2″

WWII USAAF officer’s mackinaw

This vintage officer’s short overcoat / shawl collared mackinaw was made during WWII for Captain H. W. Largent of Presque Isle, Maine. It bears a USAAF patch on the left shoulder. It has a shawl collar, a double breasted front, with two flapped patch pockets, epaulettes, and is belted. The inside is lined, with a quilted section by the arms. The jeep coat has a united garment workers of America union label in the inside pocket.Chest: 21″Shoulder to Shoulder: 18″Shoulder to cuff: 25-1/2″

1939 dated A. Nash overcoat

This vintage overcoat was custom tailored in 1939 by the A. Nash Company of Cincinnati, Ohio. It is a classic double breasted style, with a belted back. For some reason, someone has moved the buttons on the belt back to make it longer, but moving them back is a simple fix. It is half lined with a center vent. It has an early variant 1939 union tag which I have not seen outside of this coat.Chest: 24″Shoulder to shoulder: 19″Shoulder to Cuff: 26″

Spiegel Front Quarter Horsehide leather jacket

This vintage long half-belt was sold by Spiegel in the 1950s. It is made of front quarter horsehide with a sheepskin lining. It has an action bi-swing back, belt back, two flapped front pockets, with handwarmer pockets and a diagonal zip chest pocket. The sheepskin lining extends three quarters down with the remainder, and the sleeves, being quilted rayon. The jacket has a conmar zipper, but the zipper tape has rotted at the bottom, so it will need to be replaced.
