This vintage leather jacket was made in the 1960s. It is missing its label, but with its late-starting zipper, one snap collar and plain back, it most closely resembles Brooks’s early cafe racers of the period. It has bi-swing shoulders and zipped cuffs. Pocket zips are Talon and cuff zips are Serval. The main zipper has been replaced with a later YKK, It’s a very simple, stripped down racing shirt type pattern, with no extraneous seams or pockets. The cuffs are open style. With the wear and various repairs, this jacket’s clearly seen some action and some love.
This vintage jacket was made in the late 1930s-early 1940s. It is made from brown capeskin leather in the aviator style so popular in that time period. It has an offset zipper, broad lapels and collar, handwarmer pockets, a zipped breast pocket and zipped map pocket. It has a half-belt back. The main zipper is an early Crown, with a square topped stopbox and teeth very similar to a Talon (pre-chevron teeth, pre-two way teeth). The back is painted with nose art close to a Disney/Roald Dahl gremlin, with horned flight helmet and parachute harness, but with a pointy mosquito or bird nose. The lining is missing.
This vintage leather jacket was made in the early 1950s. It is made of Front Quarter Horsehide, in a classic motorcycle jacket cut, with an offset zipper, cigarette pocket, handwarmer pockets, epaulettes, belted waist and chest pocket. The main zipper is a Talon, of an design used in the early 1950s with a U shaped, wide rib, unmarked stopbox and square holed slider. The bell shaped zips on the sleeves are unmarked. The chest pocket zip has an enamel Triumph Twin badge and the front of the jacket has an American Motorcyclist Association enamel pin. The epaulettes have star studs and the jacket has bi-swing shoulders. The back panel has developed an amazing grain. The jacket has a quilted lining.

It is a classic Columbia / CHP motorcycle style, with an offset zip (a heavy Talon), kidney panel with laced sides, epaulettes, zipped sleeves with mouton panels inside the cuffs, snapped belt loops and zipped handwarmer pockets. This one is made from a heavy, competition weight leather.
This vintage jacket was made in France by Lee Trevor Genuine Outdoor Clothing. It is made of heavyweight leather in a bone color. It has a large D-Pocket map pocket, handwarmer pockets and a flapped breast pokets with grommets in the same style as badge holders on police jackets. There are zippers on the sleeves, an attached belt, and lace-up side adjusters.
