This vintage hat was made in the 1950s. The milan straw body was made in Italy, and it was finished and sold by Resistol. It has porkpie styling, with a wide grosgrain ribbon, with a back bow. This style was popular for a period in the mid to late 1950s. Despite being marked a 7-1/4, the hat has shrunk and measures and fits as a 7-1/8.

1950s Swedish / German Goatskin utility jacket
http://www.ebay.com/itm/271226620665
This vintage leather jacket was sold by Albackens of Malung, Sweden. The design is typical of what was coming out of German shops of this period. It is made of black goatskin, in a classic utility jacket style. It has a zipp zipper. There are a number of teeth missing on the zippers, but it still zips up well. There are buckle adjusters on the sides, and button tabs on the sleeves. The leather has a wonderful patina.

c.1947 day-glo men’s trunks
http://www.ebay.com/itm/281124841805
These vintage trunks were made in the late 1940s from the new “Day-Glo” fabric, made under patents 2417383 and 2417384. It certainly lives up to the claim of “fluorescent”. They have an elasticized waist (the elastic is still good), a full mesh liner, and a flapped, buttoned coin/key pocket. Postwar California beachwear at its finest. There is some fading, but it blends in somewhat with the shininess and day-glo effect of the fabric. With the waist, I would recommend these for a size 34-36.

1930s zip-off topper swimsuit
http://www.ebay.com/itm/271226435642
This vintage bathing suit was made in the mid 1930s. This was a transitional time between the age of one or two piece men’s bathing suits, and that of topless bathing suits. The top is detachable on this one via a Kwik zipper, which bears patents no 1752111, 1814244, and a third which is somewhat difficult to read. The trunks have a diamond gusseted crotch and belt loops. The top is striped.
