Reproduction double breasted mackinaw

This mackinaw coat was made recently, with a design taken from work mackinaws of the 1930s, with a belted, pleated back, handwarmer pockets, a double breasted front and flapped cargo pockets. It is made from lighter weight, softer material than the originals and is lined.

Chest (pit to pit): 23″ (doubled = 46″)

Shoulder to shoulder: 18″

Sleeve (shoulder to cuff): 26-1/2″

Length (base of collar to hem): 32″

Eddie Bauer half-belt jacket

This jacket was made recently by Eddie Bauer, drawing influence from 1930s work jackets (the overall cut, belt back, throat latch, unlined construction) and from Air Force Nomex flight jackets (the pocket design, style of zipper). It makes for a very rugged, outdoorsy lightweight jacket with a great vintage feel to it.

1950s Woolrich 503 hunting coat

This vintage hunting jacket was made by the Woolrich Woolen Mills in the mid-late 1940s. It has their wartime style pre (R) label, with the Woolrich branded snaps and asymmetrical breast pockets, helping to narrow down the dating to around 1946-48.

Banana Republic Cabinwear pendleton vest

Mossimo shawl collar cardigan

This sweatshirt was made around 2009 and was sold by Target under their Mossimo label, with a design influenced by salt and pepper cardigans of the 1920s-1930s.

Avirex M-421a flight jacket repro

This jacket was made in the USA by Avirex Ltd. based upon the 1940s M-421a cotton flight jacket. It has the distinctive diamond shaped reinforcements on the sleeves, belt back and patch pockets. The unbranded bell shaped zipper is a decent approximation of the original, which wouldn’t be fully reproduced for years after the production run of this jacket. The jacket is, like the original, unlined, with an inside pocket.

1960s Ralph Edwards G-1 flight jacket

This vintage G-1 flight jacket was made in the early 1960s. It has a half-belt back with bi-swing shoulders, a Conmar zipper front, rust colored mouton collar and knit collar and cuffs.

1930s leather half-belt jacket

This vintage leather jacket was made in the late 1930s-early 1940s. It has a pleated half-belt back, a Talon zipper front with sunburst stopbox and a zipper on the breast pocket which I have never seen before. The pockets are flapped and it has button cuffs.

1940s capeskin leather half-belt jacket

This vintage leather jacket was made in the mid to late 1940s. It has a yoked front and back with double breast pockets, button adjuster cuff straps, a belted back and a Talon zipper front. It has a quilted lining.
