1930s Pendleton shirt

This vintage shirt was made by the Pendleton Woolen Mills of Pendleton, Oregon in the 1930s-early 1940s. It is made from a burgundy plaid wool with flapped breast pockets and a shirt placket which terminates in an outwardly curving front shirt tail. It has a zig zag stitched lined neckband and a reinforced/lined button placket.

Collar: 16″

Chest (pit to pit): 24-1/4″ (doubled = 48-1/2″)

Shoulder to shoulder: 18-1/2″

Sleeve (shoulder to cuff): 24-1/4″

Length (base of collar to hem): 31-1/2″

1930s denim army pullover

This vintage jacket was made in the 1930s for the US army. It is a pullover style with large side entry pockets and zinc buttons.

This shirt was made by Ralph Lauren under their RRL line. Drawing influence from work shirts of the 1930s, it has a red and white dot fabric, with a chinstrap, side entry to the breast pocket for a pocket watch, angled buttonhole for a watch chain, asymmetric pockets, pencil pocket, false half-placket and ralph’s take on a vintage union label.

1930s Woolrich full zip shirt

This vintage shirt was made around 1936-1938 by Woolrich. It is made from red and black plaid wool from the Woolrich Woolen Mills of Woolrich, PA and has an unusual full zipper design with a single buttonhole on the tails. The zipper is a Talon, with sunburst stopbox, oval slider-to-pull connector and sunburst slider. In typical workshirt form, this has two buttoned breast pockets.

This vintage shirt was made in the 1940s. It is two tone green and taupe, with embroidered green yellow and pink flowers. It has a fancy yoked front and back , pearloid plastic buttons and a single snap sewn at the neck for a flat closure.

1930s Woolrich half-zip workshirt

This vintage shirt was made in the late 1930s by the Woolrich Woolen Mills of Woolrich PA. It bears the variant of label which was used briefly in that period. It is a half-zip style, with a Talon zipper with a rectangular hole slider and a Talon marked slider/pull connector, a variant of zip used in the late 1930s. It is a size 15-1/2.
