1930s NRA tagged Chippewa chinstrap work shirt

This vintage shirt was made in Wisconsin between 1933 and 1935 by the Chippewa Falls Woolen Mill under the Chippewa label. It is made of red and black wool, with long tails, buttoned breast pockets, and a extension tab or ” chinstrap ” collar stand. These shirts were popular workwear during the fall and winter months. The shirt bears a NRA Cotton Code (National Recovery Act) tag, which helps date it within a three year span.

1930s Jack Frost Coat plaid double breasted mackinaw

This vintage coat was made in the 1930s by Jack Frost outerwear. It is made of red black and gray plaid mackinaw wool. The coat is double breasted, with handwarmers and flapped cargo pockets. It has a pleated, belted back. As is typical of these early production mackinaws, the coat is heavy-weight and unlined.

1950s Land-N-Lakes peak lapel western jacket

This vintage western jacket was made in the late 1950s by the Herman K. Lavin Company of St. Paul, Minnesota under the Land-N-Lakes label. The jacket is made from a blend of Wool, Nylon and Cashmere in an attractive muted plaid. The jacket has peak lapels, and fancy western yokes front and back. It has bi-swing shoulders and saddelbag pockets.

1940s German leather jacket

This vintage leather jacket was made in Germany the late 1940s – early 1950s. The label is worn but looks like it reads Rostra . It is double breasted, with scalloped yokes front and back, loop closures for the leather buttons, belted cuffs, scalloped handwarmer pocket flaps and a zipper pocket on the chest. The pocket has a Zipp Zipper, marked DRP Nurnberg on the back The jacket has a removable wool plaid lining, which is removable by means of PRYM snaps.

1940s Klinkerfues North Country Outdoor Wear curling club jacket

This vintage jacket was made in the mid 1940s by North Country Outdoor Wear – styled by Klinkerfues Bros Co, St. Paul, MN. It is a green and white plaid, with a brass Talon zipper front. There are buttoned breast pockets and handwarmer pockets. The jacket has shirt style cuffs and is unlined. The shoulder has patches from the Lacrosse Curling Club. The owner was Tri-state champ in 1947 and 1948. The jacket has a pin from the 1939 Indoor Outdoor Skating Championships, LaCrosse, Wisconsin.

1930s H.W. Carter hunting coat

This vintage jacket was made by H.W. Carter & Sons of Lebanon, New Hampshire in the mid 1930s. It is made of heavy red and black plaid wool, in a six pocket hunting coat style. It is made from a double layer of wool with a game pocket between the two layers, accessible via two zipped pass through slits on the side. The zippers are hookless style Talon zippers, made in the early-mid 1930s.

1930s Lakeland men’s plaid hunting coat

This vintage plaid jacket was made in the mid 1930s by the Lakeland Mfg. Co of Sheboygan, Wisconsin. It is made of midweight red and black buffalo plaid. It is single breasted, with a rounded collar, double shoulders which form the flaps for the double breast pockets and flapped patch cargo pockets. The coat is unlined, but has a double back, which forms the game pocket, accessible through pocket flaps on the sides.

Early 1930s mackinaw Stag Coat

This vintage mackinaw coat was made in the early 1930s. At the time of its manufacture, this single breasted plaid mackinaw style, with its A-1 style patch pockets and shirt collar, was known as a Stag Coat. It has a double yoke back for a bit of extra warmth, and like many early mackinaws, is unlined.

1930s Woolrich 255 hunting mackinaw

This vintage jacket was made in the mid to late 1930s by the Woolrich Woolen Mills of Woolrich, PA. This is the rare 255 model, with a double front yoke, handwarmers with D-pocket stitching and flapped cargo pockets. It has exposed buttons and a rear game pouch. The coat, in keeping with many early mackinaw coats, is unlined.

1940s Woolrich Model 163 Shirt

This shirt was made in the early 1940s by the Woolrich Woolen Mills in Woolrich, PA. It is made of a lighter weight wool than most Woolrich shirts. It has fancy glass buttons instead of the usual red cateyes. The label on this shirt was only made in the early-mid 1940s.
