Pendleton Vest no. 3

This vintage vest was made by Pendleton woolen mills of Portland, Oregon, out of one of their famous blankets. The tag reads ” High Grade Westernwear”. It has a black background with shades of green, red, purple and brown. The buttons are southwestern sunbeam patterned. It seems to run a bit small from the 38 size tag, please refer to the measurements provided.

1920s wool outdoors shirt

This vintage shirt was made in the 1920s or 1930s. It is similar to the army shirts of WWI, with its pullover styling and attached collar, but does not have the breast pockets of that pattern. The buttons on the cuffs are mis-matched, but are obviously very old replacements.

1964 Olympic Parade Coat

This coat was made by Lakeland for the 1964 winter olympic games in Innsbruck, Austria. It is made of heavy white blanket wool material, with red white and blue knit details. It has a shawl collar, slash handwarmer pockets and buttoned adjuster tabs on the wrists. The coat is lined in blue pile, and has a tag which reads, “Lakeland Sportswear / Parade Coat / Selected for wear by the U.S. Olympic Team / IX Winter Olympic Games / Innsbruck, Austria 1964”. It is tagged a size 40.
These coats were also available in limited numbers as a commemorative model in the winter of 1963. A standard Lakeland “Clicker” car coat sold for $26 at that time. This Olympic Parade Coat sold for more than double, retailing at $55.

This vintage coat was made by Pendleton Woolen Mills of Portland, Oregon. It is made from Pendleton Indian trade blankets. It is a single breasted style, with western yokes on the shoulders and back. There are slash handwarmer pockets at the chest, and flapped patch pockets below. The coat is unlined, save for the shoulders.

This vintage vest was custom madein the 1950s, by “Jackie”. This kind of label was typical for small, cottage industry seamstresses of the period. The vest is made from a Pendleton indian blanket, and the seams are trimmed with blanket material. It has a three button front. There are several surface moth bites on the right shoulder.

This vintage vest was custom made mid-century from a Pendleton blanket. It is reversible, with patch pockets on both sides. All the seams are finished neatly and properly such that it truly is reversible. The side seams are cut like shirt tails.
