Pre-Longwing Gunboats. Canadian made by John McHale in the 1940s or 1950s. Enormous, heavy soles. Flush captoe. I can’t imagine what you could do to these shoes that they couldn’t take.

Brimaco leather cafe racer jacket
1960s canadian made Brimaco cafe racer jacket. Heavy brown leather. Lightning zippers. Burnt orange lining.
1970s brown and white spectator shoes
These 1970s spectators, with their high, curved heel, don’t have quite the same elegance of their 1930s forerunners. But the leather sure has aged nicely.
Brown Mesh Bostonian spectators.
Brown leather and mesh moc toe specators. NOS from back when Bostonian made a great shoe.
These were unfortunately stolen by a french ebayer who falsified a paypal claim after they’d arrived.
Before and after boots
1930s tall lace up brown boots- the kind used for motorcycles, horses, hiking and general adventuring back in the day. Cool wingtip on them, not something you see much on modern boots- not that you hardly ever see this type of tall boot any more, especially not in brown.

M-69 Transport Coat
I have worn the buttoned version of this USN M-69 Transport coat for two winters now, and it’s about the most practical winter garment imaginable. And yet- somehow so very ridiculous.
It’s a full length goatskin leather overcoat. This Willis and Geiger version has the zipper front, which gives it a bit of a deiselpunk vibe to it. Very Buck Rogers. Brown painted Talon zips throughout. Full alpaca pile lining with satin overlays. Mouton collar.
WWII Swedish leather jacket
This is a great piece of European military leather. Super heavy, thick horsehide(?) with a great grain to it. Belted back, fur collar. Brings to mind the days of open cockpits. It’s lined in gray wool blanket material and has pewter backing buttons.
Deerskin leather cut jacket vest
This 1950s leather vest got the biker treatment, with the sleeves cut off. It’s fringed and has a talon zipper. It was made by Gransfors Garments of Superior, WI.
Dacks Shoes
Another venerable Canadian maker, now sadly defunct. The quality of their product, especially their earlier shoes, speaks for itself.
Hartt Shoes
Vintage Canadian shoes were built to last. Thick, high quality leather, thick, nailed leather soles. They may not always be the fanciest or the flashiest, but as many of these shoes show, they will outlive you. And maybe outlive a second owner.
