This vintage Ralph Lauren jacket is made from brown corduroy, with double flapped breast pockets, a throat latch, and a pleated belt back.  It is unlined, with taped seams and was made in the USA. There are 3-1/2″ of material in the cuff and it appears they have been previously shortened.

This jacket was made for Ralph Lauren and was sold under the Polo label.  It is based on a 1920s-1930s hunting coat, with a shawl collar a seven pocket front and rear game pouch.  It has doubled sleeves and caped shoulders.  It’s made of a heavy knit cotton fabric.

This jacket was made by Wallaces & Barnes, Garments of Distinction, New York.  It is a modern take on a 1930s Brown’s Beach Jacket, with the cut, snap front, pocket detailing and collar shape all mirroring that iconic work jacket, but rendered in melton wool.

Ralph Lauren reversible half-belt

This jacket was made for Ralph Lauren and was sold under the Polo label.  Based upon a 1930s jacket, it is reversible – one side is herringbone wool, the other cotton twill.  It is belted back with side adjusters on both sides.  The herringbone side has handwarmer pockets and the khaki side has patch pockets.  The adjuster belts at the cuffs pass through slits so they are usable on both sides.

This coat was made in Japan by Heller’s Cafe / Warehouse. The design is heavily influenced by work mackinaw styles of the 1930s-1940s.  It is double breasted, with hand warmer pockets, flapped cargo pockets and a single zipped pocket.  The zipper is a Talon. It has a belted back and like the originals, is made with an unlined construction.

It is made of lightweight cotton twill, unlined, with a half-belt back, bi-swing shoulders, a bell shaped Talon zip, flapped patch pockets, the left of which has a pen slot, and an internal vertical snapped breast pocket.

This vintage coat was made in the 1970s by Jerold for men, with a style heavily influenced by double breasted mackinaw work coats of the 1930s. It is double breasted, with a 3×6 buttoning, a broad shawl collar and knot style buttons on the front and cuffs. It has handwarmer pockets on the chest and flapped cargo pockets.
