This is one of the nicer milans I’ve had come through. This and the Resistols. Great body, great quality trimmings and heapings of style. It dates from the late ’40s through mid ’50s.
I got this big 5X Resistol at a yard sale at a horse farm in Maryland. It’s not the style I generally go after, and not from the era I generally do, but the price was right.
The Stetson Stratoliner is arguably one of Stetson’s best known hat models. Named after the airplane, it had fedora blocking and a thin ribbon. This one, sourced in Frederick, Maryland, saw a lot of wear in its life.
