I got this hat at a hospital flea market in Maryland a few years back. The quality and styling are exactly what you would expect from Borsalino- Top Notch.
This Sears mail order wool felt cowboy hat dates from the 1930s through mid 1940s. It was an inexpensive working man’s hat, and while it has a cheap wool felt body, it has a nice leather sweatband and good quality ribbon work. Usually companies skimp on costs the other way around.
I found this one at a Maryland Hospital charity shop for not too much. I don’t find too many hats at thrift shops. Suits, jackets, coats, yes, but hardly ever hats.
This is a pretty standard stingy brim, but since it’s a Cavanagh, its quality is top notch.
I got this Brasiliano hat shipped over from Italy. It’s a Borsalino knock-off, and while the quality isn’t AS nice, it’s still pretty good, with a very nice fur felt body. The sweatband’s not the best, but it is leather.
