This vintage shirt jacket was made by the Seattle Woolen Co. under the Rodeo Sport Togs label. It has a lace-up front, a shirt cut, and a yoked back. There is a flap inside (like a gas-flap on WWII shirts) to back the lace-up portion. The lace is elasticized to make putting the shirt on easier.

This vintage leather shirt jacket was made in California by Los Angeles Sportogs. It is an unusual style, a western pearl-snap shirt, but instead of gabardine, it is made out of white leather, with hair-on cowhide trip on the yokes, pockets, and cuffs. I particularly like the broad arrow reinforcements at the edges of the “smile” pockets. The back of the shirt-jacket has an unusual cutaway. Snaps are United Carr / DOT snapper.

This vintage hat was made in the 1930s by the John B. Stetson company. It bears their “No. 1 Quality” designation. The dressweight felt has an unusual rose color. The liner is a complementary pink, with a highly detailed stamp. It was originally sold in Vinita, OK by “The Army Store”.

This vintage hat was made right around the turn of the 20th century. It is not marked as to the maker, but the sweatband is marked XXX Nutria Warranted. This style was popular as a city style in the 1900-1910 period. It has a western style curled brim, and a short, uncreased crown, similar to what was on a Stetson Boss of the Plains.

This vintage gabardine shirt was made in the early-mid 1950s by Cowboy Joe. It is their “Las Vegas” model. It is made of two tone gabardine, seafoam for the body, and green for the contrast. It has Rau-Klikit pearl snaps. The male side of the snap second from the top is missing. There are white piped “smile” pockets and fancy five-snap cuffs. The shoulders and collar are chainstitched with rainbow colored ribbon in abstracted flowers and plants. This is the same model of shirt worn by Elvis’s bass player, Bill Black and guitarist, Scotty Moore c. 1954. This example bears the marks of a lifetime of use, with stains and wear to the fabric.
