The Blue Blazer

The traditional blue blazer, it doesn’t get much more classic or more versatile. This one dates from the 1950s and is made of an english flannel. It has pearloid buttons and is marked “Robin Hood”, who as we all know, was famous for his double breasted flannel sportcoats.

Canadian shawl collar mackinaw

I picked this shawl collar mackinaw up in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The anchors on the chain hanger, along with Halifax being the headquarters of Canada’s East Coast navy make me think this is a naval piece. It is shearling lined with a huge collar, and a heavy cotton duck shell. The belt is attached with keepers over the belt loops.
