Adam Executive Bantam Weight
This is an early Adam, dating from the 1930s. It has a thin ribbon, and is made of brown fur felt.
Brock Pork Pie
This Brock porkpie is from the late 1950s. The size tag is very similar to what was going into Stetsons and Mallorys of the period. I wonder if this was made under license or if it was just a coincidence.
Mallory by Stetson
This one was made in Canada. Fur felt, but as you can see, really cheap sweatband that just hasn’t survived well.
Blue Champ Fedora
This is an early Champ- late ’30s, early ’40s. Vibrant blue felt, great proportions. Tiny size.
1945 Poulton Fedora
It’s always nice when hats are actually dated. Eliminates a lot of guesswork. This hat was made by Poulton’s of Harrisburg, PA. Built to a standard not down to a price.
Adam Majestic
This is an early Adam, probably dating from the late 1930s.
Borsalino XXXXX Leo
I got this at an antique shop in Salisbury Maryland. It, and a nearly identical one were in a closed hat box under some other things. Looked like someone else had wanted them and hidden them to get them later.
Royal DeLuxe Stetson
I got this as deadstock along with a 7-1/2 Whippet. Unfortunately, I sold the Whippet before people the name commanded such high prices. Still did very well on it, but got 7-1/2 Stetson prices, not Whippet prices. I think this really was the more interesting of the two hats, with the unusual thin binding, done in homburg style, and the thin felt band.
Low Crown back bow Borsalino
This is an unusual style of hat. Wide brim, low porkpie crown, back bow, slightly fuzzy finish.
