1900s Tiger Special hat

http://www.ebay.com/itm/400991040839
This vintage hat was made around the turn of the century by the B&K Company under the name, “The Tiger Special”. It was sold by N.L. Wann of Fairbury, Illinois. It appears that Wann was bought out in 1916 by a Mr. Lloyd Borngener. The hat has a curled brim and is creased with a center dent and widely spaced pinches. It has a narrow ribbon and is a size 7-1/8.

1950s Peters Bros Shady Oak Banker’s Special

http://www.ebay.com/itm/271978818190
This vintage hat was made by Peters Bros Inc of Fort Worth, Texas. It is the Texas Hat, the Shady Oak Bankers Special One Hundred. Costing $100 new in the 1950s, this was an incredibly fine high end hat, made from Swiss felt. It was made for a Max Krauss. Please remember that the X rating system has inflated grossly over the years and that it has no consistency from manufacturer to manufacturer, so the 6X rating on this made it, at the time, one of the finest hats money could buy. It is a 6-7/8.

Pure Beaver Sinto cowboy hat

http://www.ebay.com/itm/400991054578
This vintage hat was custom made in Spokane, Washington from One Hundred Percent Pure Beaver Fur. It appears the model name is the Sinto. It has a bound brim. It looks like it’s been knocked around a bit, is wearable as is, but with its high quality body, it would make an excellent candidate for a renovation. Size 7-3/8

Zara Overcoat

http://www.ebay.com/itm/271978839968
This coat was made recently by Zara, but pulls its styling heavily from men’s overcoats of the 1920s, with its slim silhouette, wide lapels, high-mounted handwarmer pockets, flapped cargo pockets, fabric and cuff detailing. It is a relatively lightweight coat despite its looks, perfect for parts of the country where the extreme weight of originals is not appropriate.

Chest (pit to pit): 21″ (doubled = 42″)
Shoulder to shoulder: 17-1/2″
Sleeve (shoulder to cuff): 25-1/2″
