This vintage jacket was made in the late 1920s-early 1930s by the Hettrick Manufacturing Company of Toledo, Ohio under their American Field Gun Coats label. It is made of canvas, with a corduroy collar and cuff linings. It has leather trimmed handwarmer pockets, large cargo pockets and flapped shell pockets. It has a roomy internal game pouch with side access and gusseted underarms.

White Canvas Jacket

This vintage jacket was made in the 1930s by the Independent Towel Supply Company of Cleveland, Ohio. It is their style 630, made of white canvas, with a three button front, square cutaway and three patch pockets. The breast pocket is unusually shallow. This style of jacket was worn both institutionally as workwear and became popular on east coast university campuses as part of the 1930s “beer suit”.

Penney’s Big Mac work jacket

This vintage jacket was made for Penney’s and was sold under their Big Mac workwear label. It is made from Sanforized cotton twill with a wool blanket lining and a Talon zipper front.

This vintage hunting jacket was made by the Empire Manufacturing Corporation of Statesville, North Carolina. It is a medium weight dark khaki canvas, with corduroy collar and gun pad, throat latch / chin strap, zippered breast pocket and zippered game pocket.

1920s Gem Hunting Vest

This vintage hunting vest was made by the Gem Shirt Company of Dayton, Ohio in the 1910s-1920s. The Gem Shirt Co. was founded c.1888, and diversified into canvas hunting clothes in the early part of the 20th century, innovating the usage of lined waterproof game bags. They were a high end maker at the time, making their products from an excellent grade of cotton canvas duck. They ceased production by the 1920s. It has corduroy shotgun shell pockets, ring backed buttons branded with the Gem logo, and a yellow on black label.

1930s CanPro money bag

This vintage bag was made by the Can-Pro Corp of Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin. It is made of heavy canvas, with a rubber bottom and a leather top with metal fastenings, so that the leather belt can thread through and lock. This size is a model 113. This particular bag was used by the Brooklyn Office, and later the Greenburgh office of S.B. Thomas, Inc., 33-01 Queens Blvd. Long Island City, NY, and has a metal plate with their info riveted to the bag. There is a riveted chain for a lock (with part of the lock attached) attached to the leather at the top of the bag.

1910s Bird Jones Kenyon hunting vest

This vintage vest was made in the 1910s by Duxbak. It has their early pre 1915 label, featuring the Bird, Jones & Kenyon script and Cravenette Rain Proof logo. The vest has a six button front and a buckle back. The buckle is the type used with a 1906 patent date on later Duxbak vests, but it is an early production version, without the patent number or date.
