1943 Double Breasted Suit Jacket
This double breasted pinstripe jacket was made at the height of WWII. It has, unfortunately, lost its trousers.

The 1930s did a victory lap in the late 1960s. ’30s fashions, like the belt back jacket came back briefly. Here’s an example.

Prior to my purchase, this Korean War era USN G-1 had done a number of years as a loaner jacket for bi-plane rides. It’s seen a lot of things.
Cut down Colvinex Flight Suit
The colvinex flight suit was a one piece goatskin coverall electrically heated flight suit. Great for cold weather flying in WWII and Korea, not so great as surplus. Not a lot of call for the average joe for something as specialized as these. So out come the electrical coils, and out come the scissors, needle and thread. I’ve run across quite a few examples of these that were cut down post war for casual or motorcycle use, and each does it a bit differently.
1920s Vogue Tuxedo
Here’s an unusual piece: a 1920s Tuxedo, with Jazz Suit styling. It has a square cut bottom, extremely high closure, cuffed sleeves and satin lapels. Great typeface on the label, too.
The Blue Blazer
The traditional blue blazer, it doesn’t get much more classic or more versatile. This one dates from the 1950s and is made of an english flannel. It has pearloid buttons and is marked “Robin Hood”, who as we all know, was famous for his double breasted flannel sportcoats.
