This vintage jacket was made in Yugoslavia in the 1970s by Chess King. It has 1930s proportions and detailing, with a high button stance, moderate peak lapels, double breast pockets and a fancy pleated, belted back. Though tagged a 42, sizing is notoriously inconsistent brand to brand, so refer to the measurements. With a 44″ chest, this best fits a 40.

Shoulder to shoulder: 18-1/2″
Sleeve (shoulder to cuff): 25″
Length (base of collar to hem): 29-1/2″

This vintage denim chore jacket was made for Penneys and sold under their Big Mac workwear label. It has a quilted lining and corduroy collar.

SunLife gabardine jacket

This vintage jacket was made by the Winer Mfg. Co of Hammond, Indiana, makers of Stratojac, under their SunLife label. It has a late ’40s Talon marked U stop zipper and a patch from “Copaigns S.A.C.”. It has hidden side pockets and elasticized sides.

This vintage jacket was made by Ely & Walker uner their Weather Jack Sportswear label.  It is a western style, largely unchanged since the early 1950s, with peak lapels, a three button closure, fancy yokes and a plaid material.

This vintage jacket was made by Ralph Lauren under the Polo label, with a style based on 1920s sporting jackets.  It has a shawl collar with a double button closure at the top, small patch pockets and a waistband made from the same material as the body of the coat.  It is made from a blue plaid wool.

1930s Wards Western Field hunting jacket

This vintage jacket was made in the late 1930s-mid 1940s and was sold by Montgomery Ward under their Ward’s Western Field label.  It is made from canvas, with a corduroy collar, game pouch, pleated breast pocket and handwarmer pockets which form the pocket flaps for the cargo pockets.
