This vintage overcoat was made in the 1940s. It bears a 1939 Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America union tag, placing the dating between 1939 and 1949. The coat is made from bold brown herringbone tweed. It is single breasted, with wide notch lapels and flapped patch pockets. The coat is half-lined, as was typical in this era.
