Duffle Coat

This vintage duffle coat is similar to the Royal Navy second pattern dufflecoat, and dates from the late WWII period, or early postwar period.  It is made of heavy camel colored wool, with four toggles.  The ropes are stout and the toggles are wood. Military-type buttons on the cuffs.  Yoked shoulders.  Hood lays flat when not in use, long chinstrap to keep the elements out.  No button adjusters in the hood. Cotton reinforcement at waist, half lined.Chest: 26″Shoulder to Shoulder: 20″Sleeve: 24″    Photobucket
