Is the George I. Eakle Co.hatmaker still in business? They were located in Philadelphia, PA. i’m in possession of a old Panama hat with their name in the headband.
Growing up in Philly I often came across his hats. I still have a Dobbs which was passed down to me and other than needing a bit of cleaning, it is still in good shape. I stopped by about a year ago and the shop was gone, Boyd’s is there now, and no one I spoke to knows if they are still in business.

As far as I can tell, they’re long, long gone. They made/sold some great quality hats, though.
